Travel stuff

May 18th: Immanuel Kant never ventured more than 20 km from his small city of Königsberg. Great as a philosopher as he was, I think he would have trouble answering this question: if you were to leave this very second, dropping everything you were doing, where would you go?

I would go to Königsberg and write many papers about law, ethics and religion.

Just kidding. I would drop everything and go to Santorini, Greece!

I know this is a pretty cliche destination, a love for Santorini which was developed from watching too much Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and a weird admiration for the way blue and white naturally compliment each other. Nonetheless, I think it's undeniable. If Santorini were a guest at a party, they would be the person who walks around humbly getting veggie dip from the counter, oblivious to envious eyes staring at her/him from all corners of the room.  Santorini is cool and gorgeous at the party, but not pretentious. That's Toronto or maybe Shanghai---who invited them?
