A new series called "Touching strangers" was launched by Richard Renaldi, and I think the concept is quite innovative. He asked random people on the streets to touch each other (THESE ARE NOT PORNOGRAPHIC IMAGES), and captured the awkward hugs, holding hands, pecks on the cheek, etc. by complete strangers that have never met. Talk about amazing ice-breaker...
And I completely understand how this might be taken in the wrong way, but I truly believe that his collection is just wonderful to see how these small things can bring people together who would never even speak to each other, let alone hug or hold hands. I read a story of two people who had taken the photo for Richard and after, went to get a coffee together after...I think that's just amazing! On the flip side, it's hilarious to see how awkwarded out they are, especially the Asians. Their little eyes are bulging out, and surprise surprise, they look like they're being tortured. The best one is of this old Chinese guy who looks like he's thinking: "Oh God, white woman has cooties."
