I hate it when people equate coolness with listening to totally underground indie bands and completely shun mainstream bands. Since when was listening to mainstream stuff a sin? Yes, I know. You want to show that you are incredibly unique demonstrated by your taste in more "organic types of music" but GOD spare me of the bs! Its those same self-proclaimed "hipsters" who sell their souls to the starbucks corporation (yes I'm a hypocrite) and claim that they love oldies music when their only connection to classic old-school music is through GLEE.

I was talking to this girl today.
Girl: Oh yeah, I love ____ (artist's name...haha, I don't even remember the name)
Me: ___? I don't know ____.
Girl: What?! How could you NOT know ____? They're soooo gooood! Who do you listen to then???
Me: Well, I like Jason mraz :) I like Lenka---
Girl: ---Oh... so you don't listen to ? HAHAHAHA, you listen to mainstream stuff like beiber and taylor swift?
Me: I think his songs are catchy. And taylor's sweet !
Girl: Awww, steph, that's so cute...
