In 24 days, for 4 hours and 44 minutes (according to google), I will be exploring the skies. I (or the pilot) will be navigating through clouds and icky pollution. He'll say "sorry folks, we got a bit of turbulence" and I'll say, "It's okay Robbie, I'll take it from here" and save our plane from crashing into a wheat field in Saskatchewan. People will applaud, but because I'm modest, I'll shrug while waving my hands as if to say "I've done this before" and carry on eating the nice sesame seed snacks at my seat. I'll put on my headphones and continue watching an episode of How I Met your Mother, while the elderly lady beside me looks at me in sheer amazement. "Kids these days" she thinks in her head. And that will be that.
[awkward transition]
I heard about We met on an Airplane on DNTO, a website where ordinary people just post up conversations they had with a person on an airplane. In reality, the website has more of a rom-com feel which I'm not really a fan of (that's a complete lie, I read all the stories) but I love the idea of meeting a new friend or another human being to talk to in transition phases from point A to B. Strategically, I would try and make friends with the terrorist on board, or the psychopath. That way, maybe your life won't be at risk. Maybe you can be the charismatic Jack Bauer who saves the day by talking to him/her! That would be ideal. Actually, the most ideal situation would be NOT to have ANY terrorists at all. But adventure is fun sometimes.
[awkward ending]
.. okay, bye!
